First Vice-Rector Ana Gutu, together with other ULIM professors, awarded with 2017 excellence trophies, by the Union of Authorized Translators from Moldova

At the end of 2017, the Ministry of Justice hosted an event organized by the Union of Authorized Translators (UAT), dedicated to its seven years of activity, attended by eminent personalities from academic environment, such as Univ. Prof. PhD. Ana Gutu, first vice-rector of ULIM and Prof. Dr. Hab. Iraida Condrea from SUM. On this occasion, the UAT has for the first time awarded trophies of excellence to specialists in the field, who have achieved remarkable success, contributing substantially to the development of science, the training of translators/interpreters and the enhancement of the quality of translation and interpretation services.

Mrs. Ana Gutu, Mrs. Iraida Condrea, Mr. Ghenadie Rabbacov, Head of the Department of Roman Philology "Petru Roşca" at ULIM, are among the UTA prizes. At the event were debated topical issues and of utmost importance for all those in the field of translations, due to the recent changes in the legislation, considered as a defensive and constraining one.

The guests presented studies dedicated to intercultural communication through translation, correctness of expression and writing in Romanian. In 2018, the AUT aims new and ambitious projects, strong partnerships with various national and international structures, for the improvement of the translation legislation in force and the work of those who work day by day to promote dialogues between cultures and civilizations.
